You would think that a bruised littlefinger is not going to stop you going on with your adult, independent life, right? Well, you are wrong. I was wrong.
It is strange, because it’s only a pinkie, such a small, apparently insignificant bodypart. But I had to realise, that since I cannot move it because of the bruises and because I lost most of the skin on it and it is aching and because of the big bandage that by the way also paralyzes my ring finger, I simply cannot hold anything in my right hand. Ok, probably I can hold stuff, but I cannot sew, I cannot crochet, I cannot hold a pair of scissors. I cannot produce anything, and I never thought I was so addicted to these activities…
Ok, lets forget all the luxury of spending my spare time productively and in a creative way: I am struggling in my everyday little things.I cannot perform single tasks such as cutting vegetables, my husband is slicing everything these days, so I can make some dinner. I find it hard to brush my hair, to brush my teeth with my left hand, to go to the bathroom, to put on my socks, and I had to ask my husband, to wash my hair, because my finger cannot get in touch with water… such a romantic, bonding experience 🙂
Anyway, enough of me complaining. Luckily I can still type and take pictures, so today I decided to spend my time by putting up some craft supplies for sale in my Etsy shop. Do you like wrapping paper? I know you do, so go and check them out 🙂
The time has come, my darlings, I have opened my shop 🙂
I have been working on my Etsy account very diligently, and after listing my first 11 items, I am now officially open, hurray 🙂 Let’s all prop some virtual champagne for the occasion, shall we?
Right now I only have children pants for sale, but I will keep you updated about everything new, wether you are interested or not 😛
I am very excited, a little bit proud and a tiny bit scared at the same time, and I am very-very curious if anyone ever going to buy anything from me… ha, that’s the spirit 🙂
But anyway, if you have kids, grandchildren, if your best friend has kids, grandchildren, or if you are just interested in my new little shop, check it out!
I know I have been absent from the blog for a little while now.
It is mainly because Paddington got the chicken pox. Luckily he didn’t get very sick of it, no fever, slight discomfort and tiredness, but usually he is the same happy, all-over-the-place, full of energy little boy as he is, just little itchy. The main problem is that he cannot take part in any social activity, and sarts to get a little restless in this house-arrest we are both condemed to… 🙂
But, I have also been sewing! As you might remember, one of my plans for this year was to open my very own Etsy shop. I am kind of tired of not finding a proper job, getting rejected all the time, but these are the times nowadays, I am not the only one in this situation. So I thought, if noone gives me a job, then I will give myself a job! Figure that 🙂 So I have been working diligently and trying to build up a little stash. It is not easy, thanks to Paddington’s condition, but I seize every opportunity to grab my sewing machine, I also stay up late and I am basically running on coffee… 🙂
To help this process, a little package of supplies arrived yesterday. I ordered some stickers, name and size tags from Ikast Etiket, and I am very pleased with the result! It was also for a very reasonable price, I would say.
So, What do you think?
